What I Finished Recently
I’ve been lucky these past few weeks. I read two books I’d been waiting forever for and wow, were they worth it. You can find my review for Rule Of Wolves here (still feels amazing to be able to say that) and Yes No Maybe So here. I can’t believe that Shadow and Bone is coming out on Friday – it’s been this far-off date for so long it’s strange it’s now a weekday. Honestly, I have too many thoughts to fit on here (and I don’t want it to get mixed up with WWW Wednesday stuff) so I’m going to do a discussion and predictions tomorrow or Friday, so keep an eye out for that! I’d love to see what other people think.
What I’m Currently Reading
I have fallen in love with this book. It’s absolutely gorgeous, from the idea to the characters. If I could, everything I say about The Falling In Love Montage book would be in italics. It’s a rom-com about lesbians in Ireland and a cynic and her girlfriend who teaches her to believe in romcoms. What more could you want!!
I’m not going to be posting a full review because I just wanted to enjoy reading without making notes on every other page. Or spending hours trying to get my love for this book into words (it would have taken hours). Also, if I went into problems, I’d end up down a rabbit hole of picking apart flaws. There are a few problems, and I know some people would find the main character irritating, but you know what? We’re not going to think about that. It’s a rom-com about lesbians in Ireland – what more could you want?
What I Want To Read Next
I may have forgotten everything that happened in The Mortal Instruments, but I didn’t forget my bestie Magnus and I want to see the chaos he’s created since then. For all the flaws I had with the original series, I’m pretty excited to try this. There are illustrations!! Do you know why is it written by three authors? If you can clear that up in the comments I’d be very greatful haha.

Hundreds & Thousands of Books 
The Falling In Love Montage sounds so good! Definitely adding that to my TBR! I also love Magnus Bane so much. The Bane Chronicles is really good, I loved getting a look into Magnus’ life. I think it’s written by 3 authors because of the way it was published. From my understanding, they did it like little novellas and released them individually before publishing them in one book. They all just chose to come together with Clare to write them. – Amber

It’s so gorgeous!! I love any cover with the actual characters drawn on it (real people are a big nono) and the colour palette is just amazing…

The Falling In Love montage was a bit of a let down for me, exactly because as you said, the main character was a bit irritating. I know the author has another book due this year so I am quite excited about that!

Aw I’m so sorry to hear that! I know what you mean though, there were a couple of occasions where I thought everyone’s feelings could have been talked about better lol. I get that Saoirse’s main personality trait was that she didn’t like confrontation but especially at the end, I wanted things to be more rounded off? I don’t know if it makes me a bad reader, but I really didn’t want to open that can of worms and just kind of enjoy the book… as flawed as it might be. But I hadn’t heard about a new book – I’ll check it out thanks!!

I just recently read King of Scars, so I’m excited to get my hands on Rule of Wolves soon. So glad you enjoyed it! I can’t wait to watch the show. The previews look amazing!

I’ve still never read any Bardugo (except Language of Thorns) or C Clare! I probably should..!

That’s quite funny that the only one you’ve read is Language Of Thorns, it’s not the one I’ve heard a lot of people starting on! I know a lot of people disagree but I would much recommend Leigh Bardugo over Cassandra Clare… hope you enjoy their stuff if you ever pick it up!

I’d definitely go for Bardugo over Clare if/when I do give them a go, they definitely appeal more to me (plus I already know I enjoyed LoT!)

I haven’t read a lot of twisted fairytales because they all seem to get pretty similar (I guess there’s only so far you can go with Cinderella or something 😂) but it’s definitely my favourite, and the most beautiful! That’s really great to hear, hope you enjoy!!

Haha, yeah I know what you mean! I do often end up rolling my eyes and sighing at them as they’re nothing new but it’s always worth it when a truly interesting and original one pops up!

Totally! Like yes, we get it, you can write a story from the perspective of the ugly stepsisters (Cinderella 2 exposed) but the truly beautiful and unique fairytales are definitely worth it! The illustrations were also GORGEOUS which definitely helped boost my rating haha
