#WWW Wednesday – 16/12/20

Hey everyone! This is one of my favourite weekly tags, so many people do it it’s really fun. Anyway, WWW Wednesday is hosted over at Taking On A World Of Words, check out their site 🙂 If you’ve had a go at this tag, feel free to link in your post in the comments. And without further adieu, here’s what I’ve been up to this week!

A Book I’m Currently Reading

I got The Dark Is Rising series sorry sequence for my birthday. At first I was a bit skeptical but I can now see why they are classics. I’m hoping to have finished tje series by the weekend (although its taking forever) so keep an eye out for my review 🙂

A Book I Finished Recently

I finished The Versions Of Us last week, and I was dissapointed. I guess I just had high expectations that it didn’t quite live up to, but it was still a fun read.

Check out my review of ‘The Versions Of Us’ here

A Book I Want To Read Next

You dont understand how flipping excited I am to read this.

It’s sat on my shelf for about 5 months (oops)(wow it’s actually a long time now I think about it) becuase I keep saying I’ll read it after a particularly terrible book. Luckily everything I’ve read recently has been pretty good so I’m just going to read it next. Becuasehaving and not reading a book for 6+ months would probably be a record for me. What’s the longest you’ve had a book on your shelf?

Speaking of, here’s my Top 20 In 2020! (What can I say, I need to plug stuff at every oportunity 🙂 ).

What are you reading at the moment? Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments!

I’m a teenager (and a Hufflepuff) from Manchester. I like oversized jumpers, music that isn't on the radio anymore and books. Pretty much any book I can get my hands on but my favourites are Young Adult, fantasy and science fiction. One day, I decided to share some of my opinions on some great - and not so great - books to people around the world. And here it is! I really enjoy it and I hope you do too. The aim is hundreds and thousands of book reviews (see what I did there?) but I’m not quite up to that. Yet.

    1. They’re always so beautiful… and clever! I love both the six of crows ones with the birds as buildings 🤩. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the newest king of scars book but I’ve seen a few people analysing it and now I think it’s really clever

    1. THATS BEEN ON MY TBR LIST FOR SO LONG! It looks so interesting (I always see the memes for that and the foxhole court and always think I need to read them). Hope you enjoy it – also how did you ruin it? haha

      1. Haha it’s amazing! Me and my friend (I’m buddy reading) sat down on the floor in the middle of class and skimmed all of the books because someone told us that a character dies 😅😳 We got so invested we basically went through all the plot twists! It was a lot of fun, although my teacher probably got annoyed by our shrieks every time we discovered something new 🤣

      2. Loool that’s hilarious. I have to say I’m not super sympathetic 😂 I guess flipping through all the books might have spoiled some things haha. That’s so mean of who told you the spoiler (I hate it when people do that 😡 )

      3. I hate spoilers too, but I guess we asked for it this time 😂😅 It was a lot of fun, and I suppose we can always actually read the books. It’s the moment that counted really; me and my friend hardly ever got time to ourselves, so even just sitting and reading together was awesome 🤩 and we squealed a lot lmao

      4. Aww that sounds so fun! It’s so nice to have friends that are really into books, who understand why I’m crying over these fictional characters haha (it’s pretty difficult to explain otherwise 😂)

      5. It is! We stood in the middle of class just screaming lmao! It’s so nice having bookish friends, because we just talk and fangirl over books together. We did a full FBI investigation into other books from the series because we were like it cant end like this!

    1. I was Anastasia sounds super interesting! The story of the Russian revolution is so gory and complicated I love it (…assuming that’s the Anastasia it’s talking about ha). The musical cartoon Anastasia was one of my favourite films when I was younger 🙂

      1. Its hard to explain. There are technically 2 POVS- 1st person (that belongs to the real Anastasia) and 3rd person (more of the “fake Anastasia”

I really wanted to see the stage show of Anastasia this year- but got postponed

      2. That sounds so good! (You’ve actually made me put it on my WTR lol – is it the one by Erin Latimer?)
That’s really annoying about missing going to see the live show! The arts have really suffered from corona. I was supposed to see my favourite band live in concert but tHaT didn’t happen ha

      3. I really wanted to Wicked, Anastasia and Frozen this year- all postponed.

Wicked was the least disappointing due to seeing it 4 times already

Of all of them, Frozen was the one I wanted to see the most
